I have spent one month in Klagenfurt at the artist in residence organized by lend-hafen, art organisation which is consisted of artists, curators and other different cultural activists from the local area. Our communication started by email even before of my arrival in Klagenfurt but it continued unce I was there and it has several interesting spins. The communication was extremely productive (I would say for both sides) because it is organized around the possibility of placing my art project though their production at the city of Klagenfurt. These intention which was at the beginning offered from their side, but keep going because of my insisting on it, actually opened the space for our mutual exchange, exchange of ideas, political positions, ways of seeing the things, politics of production, hierarchical distributions of these positions, realtions between center and the periphery, relations to the audience/participants, questions for who are is the producer in art and who has a right on art at all etc. I find these discussions that we had during my stay there extremely productive and they helped our mutual political transformations and opened the space for understanding each other and “being” together.
One month stay in Klagenfurt is actually used as a preparation for our possible mutual work which will be more contextual and easy-going for all of us in the future, I believe.
